The universal attraction of bamboo is
its beauty a simple and elegant combination of form and function
envisioned by Mother Nature herself. For centuries, indigenous peoples
have harvested groves of bamboo for more than 1000-recorded uses.
Bamboo has been used to make homes, fences, carts, windmills, kites,
bikes, toys and baskets. It can be split, woven, carved, bent, stained,
lacquered and painted. Growing at a remarkable rate (the record variety
was clocked at nearly three feet a day), bamboo also is an unparalleled
renewable resource. At Asli Arts we take pride in creating with bamboo
and are constantly inspired by its universal beauty and endless possibilities.
